Module Dependencies, Compatibility and Premium Entitlements

How module manifests protect dependencies, Desk-version compatibility and Premium activation.

Dependencies

A module manifest declares other modules it requires. DoorFall Desk checks dependencies before installation/enabling.

Compatibility

Add-on manifests declare compatible DoorFall Desk versions. A package that does not allow the current Desk version is rejected.

Module type

DoorFall Desk recognizes FREE and PREMIUM commercial module types.

Main Desk license

The main DFD- license activates DoorFall Desk itself.

Premium module entitlement

A PREMIUM add-on uses a separate module entitlement handled through DoorFall/DoorFall.com. The main Desk license does not automatically grant every future Premium module.

Why this separation exists

It allows the core Desk installation to remain licensed independently while optional paid modules can be sold and licensed individually.
