First Login & Initial Setup

Recommended setup order

After the first administrator login:

1. Open Settings.
2. Confirm Site name.
3. Set Default sender name and Admin email.
4. Decide whether to store submitter IP addresses and browser/user-agent information.
5. Configure Cloudflare Turnstile keys if you plan to use Turnstile.
6. Configure submission retention.
7. Configure SMTP and send a test email.
8. Create a test form.
9. Preview the form.
10. Set it Active and submit one real test response.
11. Review the response under Submissions.
12. Check Analytics.
13. Open Publish and test the intended publishing method.

Test the complete workflow

Do not consider setup complete after only opening the Dashboard.

A useful first test is:

1. Create a Contact form.
2. Add Name, Email and Message fields.
3. Enable an admin notification.
4. Set the form Active.
5. Open the live form in a private/incognito browser.
6. Submit a test response.
7. Confirm the response appears under Submissions.
8. Confirm the email notification arrives.
