How to use Single line, Long text, Email, Phone, Number and URL fields.
Single line
Use for short free-text values.
Examples:
- Company
- Job title
- Reference number
- City
- Subject
Available common controls:
- Label
- Placeholder
- Help text
- Required
- Width
- Alignment
- Conditional Logic
Long text
Use when the visitor needs several lines.
Examples:
- Message
- Project description
- Comments
- Application answer
Use Help text when you want to explain how detailed the answer should be.
Use for email addresses.
Email fields have special importance because they can be selected for:
- Reply-To email field
- Submitter autoresponder recipient
{field:FIELD_KEY}variables
Add an Email field before configuring an autoresponder.
Phone
Use for telephone numbers.
Phone is intended for phone/contact information rather than general text.
Number
Use when the answer should be numeric.
Examples:
- Quantity
- Age
- Number of employees
- Budget value
For a predefined range/question score, consider Number scale instead.
URL
Use for website addresses.
Examples:
- Company website
- Portfolio
- LinkedIn profile
