Planning Priority
How overlapping Day, Week, Month, Date range and Normal day rules are resolved.
Priority order
When multiple Planning rules match the same time, DoorFall uses the most specific matching rule in this order:
- Specific day
- Specific week
- Specific month
- Date range
- Normal day
The first matching rule wins.
Why this matters
Assume your Normal Monday capacity is 2.
You then add:
- September capacity 3
- Week 38 capacity 4
- September 21 capacity 1
On September 21, the Specific day rule wins and capacity is 1. Other days in Week 38 use the Specific week rule. Other September dates use the Specific month rule. Outside those overrides, Normal day applies.
TIPDo not delete your normal schedule to create a temporary change. Add a more specific override.
