Headlines from an RSS feed. Display headlines from a compatible RSS feed and control article count and images.

What RSS News does

RSS News displays current headlines from an RSS or compatible feed URL.

Settings

  • RSS feed URL — Enter the complete feed address.
  • Articles — Show 5, 10, 15 or 20 items.
  • Show images — Enable or disable feed images.

Adding a feed

  1. Find the RSS feed URL provided by the website.
  2. Paste the complete URL into RSS feed URL.
  3. Select the number of articles.
  4. Choose whether images should be displayed.
  5. Save.

Troubleshooting

If no stories appear, first open the feed URL directly in a browser. Some websites block server requests, use non-standard feeds, or no longer provide RSS.

IMPORTANTA normal website homepage URL is not necessarily an RSS feed URL.

Example

For example, if a news site publishes a feed at https://example.com/feed, paste that complete feed URL rather than https://example.com.

If something does not work

Save the widget settings, refresh the start page and confirm the required values are still present. If this widget uses external data or a third-party service, a temporary service problem can affect this widget without affecting the rest of DoorFall Start Page Script.
