Best practice

Keep primary navigation short and predictable. Verify every published link after changing navigation, especially links to legal pages, contact information and login/account areas.

Example

A simple public footer might contain About, Privacy, Terms and Contact. Keep labels short and make sure each destination is published before linking to it.

If a link points to an external website, use the complete address such as https://example.com/page rather than an incomplete domain.
