Updating DoorFall Start Page Script

Before every update

1. Read the release notes.
2. Back up files.
3. Back up the database.
4. Confirm the backup can be restored.
5. Apply the update according to the instructions supplied with that version.

After updating

Test Admin login, normal user login, registration if enabled, several widgets, email and the public pages.

Example update workflow

If an update package says to overwrite only admin/example.php and includes/example.php, upload those files in the same folder structure rather than replacing unrelated application files.

After upload, clear any relevant application/browser cache if instructed and test the changed feature first, followed by login and general site operation.
