Move to Another Domain

Before moving

A license key can be active on one domain at a time.

Recommended process

1. Sign in to the existing installation's Admin area.
2. Open the License section.
3. Use the supported Deactivate action.
4. Move or install DoorFall Start Page Script on the new domain.
5. Activate using the same valid license key on the new domain.

Example

Suppose your license is currently active on old.example.com and you want to move the script to start.example.com.

1. Sign in to Admin on old.example.com.
2. Open License.
3. Use Deactivate to release the old domain.
4. Move or install DoorFall Start Page Script on start.example.com.
5. Open the License/installer step on the new domain.
6. Enter the same DoorFall license key and activate it.

The license should then show start.example.com as its active domain.

If the old installation is unavailable

If you no longer have access to the old server, contact DoorFall support from the customer account associated with the license. Do not purchase a second license merely to correct a domain move unless you actually need two simultaneously active installations.
