Installation Problems
Common checks when installation cannot complete.
Database connection error
Verify database host, database name, username and password. Confirm the database user has access to the selected database.
Installer cannot write configuration
Check file/folder permissions and ownership required by your hosting environment.
License activation problem
Confirm the license key and domain, then review the Licensing troubleshooting guidance.
Blank page or server error
Check the hosting PHP error log and confirm the server meets the requirements. Include relevant non-secret error details when opening a support ticket.
Installer URL does not open
For a main-domain installation, confirm that https://yoursite.com/install.php corresponds to the location where install.php was uploaded.
If the file exists on the server but the URL returns 404, check the domain's document root in the hosting control panel.
Database example
If the installer reports Access denied, verify that the database user was actually assigned to the database and has the required privileges. Creating a database and a user does not always automatically connect the two.
License activation
Use the DoorFall license key from the customer's account. Confirm that the key is not active on another domain and that the server can make outgoing HTTPS requests.
