Privacy Notice

Last updated: August 18, 2026

This Privacy Notice explains how DoorFall handles personal information when you visit DoorFall.com, create an account, purchase or license DoorFall software, contact support, or otherwise use DoorFall services.

1. Who is responsible for your information

DoorFall is responsible for the personal information it processes for its own website, customer accounts, licensing and support activities. Privacy questions and requests can be sent to contact@doorfall.com.

2. Information we collect

Account information. When you create or use a customer account, DoorFall may process your name, email address, account credentials and account activity.

Order and license information. DoorFall may process product, order, transaction reference, license key, license status, activation domain and related records needed to deliver purchases and manage software licenses.

Support and contact information. If you contact DoorFall or open a support ticket, we process the contact details, messages, attachments and other information you choose to provide.

Technical and security information. DoorFall's servers may record IP addresses, browser and device information, requested pages, timestamps, login activity, error information and security events. This information is used to operate, secure and troubleshoot the service.

3. Payments

DoorFall uses Paddle as Merchant of Record for supported software transactions. Payment-card and other payment-method details are collected and processed by Paddle and its payment partners rather than stored by DoorFall. DoorFall receives information needed to identify and fulfill the transaction, such as transaction status, product, amount, customer reference and refund or chargeback status. Paddle processes personal information under its own privacy notices and legal obligations.

4. How we use information

DoorFall uses personal information to create and manage customer accounts; fulfill purchases; issue, activate, deactivate and verify licenses; provide secure downloads; send transactional messages; provide support; respond to enquiries; prevent fraud and abuse; maintain security and logs; diagnose problems; comply with legal obligations; and maintain business, accounting and transaction records.

5. Legal bases

Where the GDPR or similar law applies, DoorFall processes information as necessary to perform a contract with you, comply with legal obligations, and pursue legitimate interests such as operating and securing the service, preventing abuse, maintaining records and improving reliability. Where consent is legally required for a particular activity, DoorFall will rely on consent.

6. Sharing information

DoorFall may share information with service providers where reasonably necessary to operate the business, including payment and Merchant-of-Record services, hosting and infrastructure providers, email-delivery providers, security services and professional advisers. Information may also be disclosed where required by law, to protect legal rights, or in connection with a legitimate business transfer. DoorFall does not sell personal information.

7. International processing

Service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, DoorFall and its providers use legally recognized safeguards for international transfers of personal information.

8. Retention

DoorFall keeps information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this notice. Order, payment-reference, license and support records may be retained after an account, license or order becomes inactive where necessary for accounting, fraud prevention, dispute handling, support history, security and legal obligations. Historical licenses may be archived rather than permanently deleted so related order and support records remain consistent.

9. Security

DoorFall uses reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, and customers are responsible for protecting their own account credentials.

10. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, restriction of, or a copy of certain personal information, and to object to certain processing. Some information may need to be retained where DoorFall has a legal obligation or legitimate reason to keep it. You may also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.

11. Cookies and similar technologies

DoorFall may use cookies or similar technologies that are necessary for login sessions, account security and website operation. If optional analytics, advertising or other non-essential technologies are introduced, DoorFall will provide appropriate information and choices where required by law.

12. Changes to this notice

DoorFall may update this Privacy Notice when services, providers or legal requirements change. The latest version will be published on this page with an updated date.

13. Contact

Privacy questions or requests can be sent to contact@doorfall.com.
